Christmas Gifts - Last Minute Shopping

Today is the day that the build up and excitement of Christmas is just about to reach its peak. Last minute shoppers are left whizzing around finding a bargain or that special gift for a loved one, and with so many gifts out there and so little time left to organise what you want to buy, knowing the perfect gift to buy will help make this stressful shopping day, not so stressful.

For her:
Perfume - This is always a safe option to buy for her, whether it be for your mum, your girlfriend, or your sister, perfume is the way forward.

Makeup - This can be a little tricker to get right but if you get it right, this will make any girls day. If you are left completely baffled by the thought of the makeup world however, opt for a neutral lipstick/gloss.

Jewellery - Rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings; you name it she'll most likely want it. Another lovely idea if you're looking for a more practical jewellery gift is a watch. Michael kors if you want something a little more expensive or a Casio for a more practical option.

Slippers and Pyjamas - This is something my mum and I normally receive every Christmas morning, with me getting pjs and my mum slippers. This is such a effortlessly thoughtful gift that any girl is bound to love.


For him:
Aftershave - Similarly to women with perfume, aftershave for men is always a lovely stocking filler.
Clothes - In my experience men have always come to be quite pleased by opening their present to see they have clothes. Whether this be tracksuits bottoms, jumpers or that new coat they wanted, now is the perfect time to branch out and see what you can find.

Shoes - Boys and girls a like love a pair of shoes. Although they can be expensive, if you're willing to spend that bit extra for a loved one, shoes are your go to gift.

Video games - Although this gift may be slightly stereotypical, many boys (and girls) do love a good old FIFA sesh, am I right? With a few games recently being released, asking what game your loved one might like could help in getting them what they really want. Likewise, a gaming platform such an a play station 4 or Xbox one is too another gift that is bound to make you their favourite person.

Kiko Milano Cosmetics Review


Sometimes there comes a point in your life where you have to move on to bigger and better things, in my case my bigger and better adventure happened when I left my part time job in order to start my full time apprenticeship as a trainee stylist. With this transition I had a joined leaving do, where my previous colleagues contributed to my leaving present, this is where my Kiko Milano make up came into play. I was so grateful to have worked with such lovely people and their beautiful gifts reflected the effort they put into buying my presents. 

I'm already a fan of Kiko Milano's makeup so admittedly this was the perfect gift for me. I received a 3D Colour and Glow Blush, a Smart Lipstick, two Cream Crush Eyeshadows, Volume Attraction Mascara and the Rebel Bounce Blush. My favourite product here however had to be my lipstick, as I was in desperate need of a new one and the colour compliments my skin tone. 


This product has quickly become apart of my daily makeup essentials, the creamy texture of the stick, smoothly slides along the skin to create a colour correcting and smooth complexion. It adds colour to my cheeks as well as giving me a natural healthy glow. 
3D Colour & Glow Blush

As I previously mentioned in my E.L.F Cosmetics post, Iv never been a massive fan when it comes to blushes, however when applied with the Colour & Glow Blush stick the product offers that extra bit of colour into your cheeks, giving you a natural glow. 
Rebel Bluncy Blush

I was pleasantly surprised by this product as the mascara wands I normally use are thin and allow little amounts of product on the wand, allowing more control, where as thicker wands in my experience create a more clumpy look and create an over done look (also known as spider legs). Although the brush is a little thicker than what I am normally used to, the final outcome made my lashes stand out, giving them a fuller and more volumised look. 
Volume Attraction Mascara

These eyes shadows are my absolute fav! The texture of the Cream Crush range is super creamy and blends perfectly. What I also love about these eyeshadows is you only need a little bit of product on your brush to create a high pigment of colour on your lids.

As I mentioned previously, this product was my favourite out of all the items I received. Although I love all of my new makeup, this lipstick is amazing. It's texture is creamy, so application is effortless. What I also love about the colour is how it suits both a day and night look.

AX Paris - Fashion Fit For Any Occasion

I love shopping on my phone, I find it's so convient and much less time consuming. Plus, during sales you don't have to push any one out of the way to get that really cute top that was full price last week and now is centimetres away from being yours ( Iv totally never done this by the way...). Saying this I do manage to spend a large proportion of my time scrolling through fashion websites, gathering information on what I could possibly manage to buy next. Whilst scrolling through my Instagram timeline I stumbled across the AX Paris website and was shocked by how stunning their dresses and clothes were. 

I love the neck on this dress and the way that it falls. Although it is skater dress which is normally quite loose and casual, this seems to be very figure hugging and occasional which I like. The pink, red and purple tones of the flower print also have an Autumn vibe which makes this dress very season fitting.

Ralph and Russo A/W 2016

Ralph & Russell is a Haute Couture and luxury goods fashion company. The brand focuses on luxury fashion and has appeared alongside leading fashion brands such as Valentino and Dior. 

Founded in 2007 by Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo, the British brand has grown and developed, creating stunning outifits worn by celebrities such as; Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian West and Blake Lively. 

Vogue.In

The brands Autumn Winter 2016/2017 collection has been released and I think it's fair to say I'm in love with it already. The website states the collection is "alive with cascading blossoms, lazer-cut butterflies, dewy tulle sheaths and metallic dragonflies" and that is certainly what the collection delivers. The collection has an earthy feel with the use of butterflies, flowers and natural elements. This connotes the idea of the connection that human has to nature, which is further shown through the designs. There is also a feel of 70's nostalgia as smocking dresses and oversized hats are included into the collection. 

I personally think this collection is stunning, its natural tones of colour promote this idea of nature and the materials used create a flawless, elegant finished look. I love that the collection has used tulle (a soft material like net) to create these dresses as i feel it really adds to the beauty of the dresses and makes this overall a stunningly elegant collection.
